This online intermediate Social Media course is designed for charity staff and volunteers. Participants learn how to optimise their social media profiles and content. During the training we focus on general principles which will apply across platforms.
The course is delivered by Dawn Newton, Dawn is a marketing consultant and has trained over 300 people who work for charities and businesses in how to use social media effectively.

Bite Size Learning
You will complete each of the units from the comfort of your desk, at your own pace, over a seven day period. Each unit is around 50 minutes long. If you have questions or require support throughout the course you can contact your tutor for tailored assistance.
Each unit ends with an assignment which is marked by your tutor and constructive feedback and guidance is provided. This enables you to take what you have learned and start applying it immediately to your charity and particular situation.
Our expert tutor gives you the tools you need to understand and create truly engaging content. This can inspire people to take action and support your charity in a variety of ways.
Each unit has a tutor assessed assignment at the end of it. This gives you the chance to practice what you have learned. Your tutor will also be able to help you with support and advice along the way and answer any questions you may have. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a certificate for your efforts.
This course is suitable for those charities who are already active on Twitter and or Facebook. You should therefore have a basic understanding of them.
